Suffolk Carbon Charter – Gold Level
Following an assessment of Specialized Print on 11/03/2014, I am delighted to inform you that the Charter panel has awarded re-accreditation to the Carbon Charter, at Gold Level, for a period of two years from the date of this letter.
The Carbon Charter is awarded to companies that are monitoring and reducing their carbon emissions. It is intended to provide public recognition of this vital step to our shared goal of Creating the Greenest County. The Gold Charter is only awarded to companies that, in addition to having achieved significant reductions in their carbon emissions, are also using their position to influence their communities, whether through their supply chain, customers or staff.
The panel felt that you have hit all of the required targets in order to meet the Gold level of accreditation. The panel admired your active role in promoting the benefits of the green approach to other businesses, both within your own supply chain and in the wider business community. Specialized Print is a respected ambassador for the Charter.
The panel were also impressed with the strong evidence of actions taken to reduce resource and energy consumption, sustained over the long-term. They stated ‘responsible use of resources is clearly an intrinsic part of the way Specialized Print does business and this has directly translated into financial benefits to their operating model’. The panel noted also your strong approach to community engagement, reflecting your understanding of the importance of the social aspects of a sustainable approach.
The panel recommend that you utilise the monitoring tool provided by Groundwork Suffolk to further improve monitoring and management of energy consumption
For the period of your re-accreditation, you are entitled to use the Carbon Charter logo provided. We hold regular Charter Networking events, and will be in touch with details shortly. We will post your certificate separately.
